Doja Cat Opens Up About Why Nicki Minaj Fans Attacked Her On Twitter

Doja Cat recently felt the wrath of the Barbz on Twitter after an exchange with a troll went extremely left, and caused the fanbase to viciously attack.

During a recent interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, the rapper/singer explained that the debacle all started when she came to the defense of a male user who was being attacked by Nicki stans over a piece of fan art that he commented on.

“He saw this art that someone drew of me, Nicki and Meg, in that order. So Nicki was in the middle, and it was a Rolling Stone cover, but Nicki was in the middle, rightfully so. Meg was on the right, and I was on the left, and this guy commented, ‘I’d like to see Doja in the middle,'” she explained in the interview. “And then someone commented back to him, ‘Gosh, men. Men these days, they’re so messy. They just want problems all the time.’ And I saw that comment, and I was like, ‘God, you have to bring like someone’s gender into stuff, and that’s what makes you look stupid.'”

Doja urged the fan to ignore the Barbz, who continued to attack him over the photo, despite him reiterating that he has nothing against Nicki Minaj.

“So then I come in, and I say, ‘Dude, stop responding to these people. They’re scum. They’re so awful. Stop talking to them. They have nothing good to say to you or anybody else.'” However, this response did not go over well with the Barbz who immediately began to assume that Doja hated the fanbase, which would then mean that she does not like Nicki Minaj, according to the incessant fanbase. Quickly after, #dojacatisoverparty began to trend on Twitter, with Nicki fans bashing the “Say So” singer.

But, Doja put the rumored beef to bed, summing up the entire situation to a misunderstanding.

“They start spinning it that I’m talking about every single person who likes Nicki Minaj when they don’t even know I’m the biggest Nicki Minaj fan.”
