Doja Cat is backtracking on her “deadbeat dad” post that she shared on Instagram Monday.
If you don’t know, Doja’s father is a South African actor named Dumisani Dlamini.
In her initial post, she teased her dad’s looks and even offered to give him makeup and to dedicate her next album to him.
“Dad, lemme know when/if you need me to re-up your makeup cabinet cuz you a b**ch.” She eventually updated it to say, “I’m gonna turn you into my next project, and your gonna have to listen to it for the rest of your God-forsaken life.”
After several users warned her about talking down on her father, she issued another message to fans.
“Go give the deadbeat a kiss on the lips for me,” she replied.
Later that night, The Paint The Town Red singer revised her post once more, saying, “Jk. Love you. I was mad.”
