Childish Gambino made an early exit during one of his sets for his tour after he was reportedly injured.
Donald Glover, who carries the name Childish Gambino while performing, took the stage for his #ThisIsAmerica tour on Sunday night (Sept. 23) in Dallas. But just 30 minutes before his set was supposed to end, TMZ reports the artist suddenly walked off.
“I love you, Texas. I’ll see you soon,” Glover said. According to reports, the “Atlanta” star was injured due to having broken his foot, however, a source close to the Glover says he has been “aggravating a preexisting injury.” While Gambino was performing on the American Airlines Center stage, fans say he stumbled on a dance move and missed his mark while trying to hit a split.
“People in the crowd seemed confused when Childish Gambino left the stage,” writes the site. “They began doing the wave, hoping for an encore. The announcer then told the crowd the concert was over.”
Reports show Gambino has been struggling with the injury for some time. Before performing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on Friday, Gambino showed up in a wheelchair and removed a leg brace.
Since then, Gambino has postponed his Wednesday show in California. While it remains unclear if the singer will be able to perform on Thursday, he still has eight shows left on his tour.
