Donald Sterling, who’s already relinquished his share of the Los Angeles clippers to his wife Shelly who sold the team to a former Microsoft CEO, says he wants his team back. He’s also planning to sue the NBA again, even though part of Shelly’s contract with the league says that Donald can’t. I’ll give you a minute to let this futile foolishness digest.
Donald Sterling’s lawyer, Maxwell Blecher, says that Donald Sterling will not being dropping lawsuit against NBA. “We have been instructed to prosecute the lawsuit,” said attorney Maxwell Blecher. He said co-owner Donald Sterling would not be signing off on the deal to sell.Â
He also says part of the reason he wishes to sue is because of the league’s decision not to rescind lifetime ban or $2.5 million fine. “I have decided that I must fight to protect my rights,” Donald Sterling said. “While my position may not be popular, I believe that my rights to privacy and the preservation of my rights to due process should not be trampled. I love the team and have dedicated 33 years of my life to the organization. I intend to fight to keep the team.”
Seems to me like Sterling is doing all of this for nothing. He’s already given his team away.
