According to Donald Trump, he and Kanye West have been friends for a long time. However, back in 2009, Trump wasn’t much of a Yeezy fan.
Seven years ago, following the infamous incident in which Kanye West crashed Taylor Swift’s MTV VMA’s acceptance speech, Donald Trump told TMZ in an interview that the rapper was “disgusting.” In fact, he said that he would boycott West “so this kind of thing doesn’t happen again.” Trump also told TMZ that Kanye was “grandstanding to get attention,” a far cry from what Trump said about Kanye on Tuesday morning. He now refers to the rapper as “a good man.”
I guess it’s safe to say that Trump’s idea of “a long time” friendship is anything after 2010.
