On Monday, Donald Trump sat with governors to discuss the shoulda, coulda, wouldas of this month’s mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where 17 people were killed.
⠀⠀
In the discussion, Trump maintained his criticisms of armed deputies who refused to intervene in the shooting. In fact, Trump claimed he would have done the complete opposite, if presented with the opportunity.

“I really believe I’d run in there even if I didn’t have a weapon,” Trump, who received five deferments to avoid military service in Vietnam, said.

The deputies, he added, “weren’t exactly Medal of Honor winners,” in their ”disgusting” actions in the Valentine’s day massacre.
