Donald Trump says doctors were “very surprised” by the positive results of an alleged cognitive test. “I aced it. I aced the test,” said Trump.
On Thursday, #Trump shared that he “very recently” took a cognitive test at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to measure his mental acuity. He says that he “aced” the alleged test but didn’t go into detail about the results or how the test was conducted.
“I actually took one when I — very recently, when I — when I was — the radical left were saying, is he all there? Is he all there? And I proved I was all there because I got — I aced it. I aced the test,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity. This all comes as a part of Trump’s narrative that #JoeBiden is mentally equipped to hold up the role of a president because of his age. Now mind you: Biden is 77, and Trump is 74. His push that Biden’s age should be considered when choosing an appropriate has been a tactic in his campaign for the past few months.
He went on to say that Biden should take the exact same test. “And he should take the same exact test, a very standard test. I took it at Walter Reed Medical Center in front of doctors,” Trump said. “And they were very surprised. They said, that’s an unbelievable thing. Rarely does anybody do what you just did. But he should take that same test.”
Hannity told Trump that Biden has taken several cognitive tests, and Trump responded saying Biden must have been confused with the number of #coronavirus tests he’s taken. He also claimed Biden “couldn’t pass a cognitive test.” Trump’s aids wouldn’t disclose the date he took the test, the logistics of the test, or if the test results would be made available to the public. Back in November 2019, Trump visited Water Reed, which White House officials say was for his annual physical. Dr. Sean Conley, the White House physician who examined him, said, “the data indicates the president remains healthy.”
