Donald Trump Slams Super Bowl LX Musical Lineup: “I’m Anti-Them”

Trump Calls Selection Of Bad Bunny And Green Day A "Terrible Choice" That "Sows Hatred"

The countdown to Super Bowl LX in San Francisco has officially begun, but Donald Trump is already tuning it out.

In a recent sit-down with the New York Post, Trump made his feelings crystal clear regarding the NFL’s choice of entertainment for the February 8 championship game. With Green Day set to open the festivities and Bad Bunny taking over the halftime stage, Trump isn’t holding back on his disdain for the lineup.

Both musical acts have a long, documented history of speaking out against Trump. From Green Day famously altering the lyrics of “American Idiot” to target the “MAGA agenda” to Bad Bunny’s vocal critiques of his administration’s policies.

Trump addressed the conflict head-on, labeling the picks as “terrible” and divisive.

“I’m anti-them,” Trump told the outlet. “I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.”

Despite attending last year’s game in New Orleans, Trump confirmed he will be skipping the festivities at Levi’s Stadium this year. However, he insisted his absence isn’t a direct protest of the performers, but rather a matter of logistics. He claimed the cross-country trip to San Francisco is simply “too far away,” though he took a moment to remind the public of his supposed popularity at past events.

“I would [go],” he added. “I’ve [gotten] great hands [at] the Super Bowl. They like me. I would go if, you know, it was a little bit shorter.”

The NFL’s decision to move forward with such politically outspoken artists marks a bold direction for the league, especially as Bad Bunny continues to be a dominant force in global streaming.
