Donald Trump reportedly claims it’s unfair that Twitter allegedly allows the Taliban on its platform but not him.

“It’s disgraceful when you think that you have killers and muggers and dictators and horrible — some horrible dictators and countries, and they’re all on but the president of the United States, who had hundreds of millions of people, by the way, he gets taken off,” said Trump to Newsmax during a Wednesday phone interview with the platform.

His remarks come as Trump claims Twitter provides the Taliban with a platform to voice its mission to obtain Afghanistan. The spokesperson for the Taliban, Zabihullah Mujahid, is still an active member on Twitter. At the same time, Trump has been banned since his incited violence that in part led to the Jan. 6 domestic terroristic attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Twitter has yet to respond to Trump; however, it released a statement on its decision to allow the Taliban on its site. “The situation in Afghanistan is rapidly evolving,” the statement reads. “We’re also witnessing people in the country using Twitter to seek help and assistance. Twitter’s top priority is keeping people safe, and we remain vigilant. “We will continue to proactively enforce our rules and review content that may violate Twitter Rules, specifically policies against glorification of violence, platform manipulation, and spam.”
