There are many situations that we go through in relationships from infidelities to the lies. But, that is not the main issue nowadays. The issue that many people face today is having intercourse with someone that they love and trust without wearing protection. I recently received a Baller Mail but decided to speak on this issue a bit because it is becoming the norm.
In the email, a young lady was frustrated with her boyfriend because he was having unprotected sex with other women as well as her. In the midst of them having unprotected sex, she contracted a curable Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD). Her frustration was at an all-time high because she was a virgin before having sex with him.
” He knew he did it with other females without using protection before me so my question is why didn’t he get checked before he started f*ckin raw again, especially with someone that was a virgin (me). It’s common sense!”
What bothered me in the email was that she blamed him for not getting himself checked out. Before having intercourse with anyone whether it is your first time or with someone you truly love, it is your responsibility to ensure that your partner wears protection. Even if he isn’t wearing one, you should wear a female condom. Now that’s common sense!
She then states, “Get checked out before you start f*ckin’ raw especially if you’ve done it multiple times.”
Your health is what matters the most. Is he wrong for having sex with you without wearing a condom? Hell yeah! But, you are to blame as well for not enforcing that he wears protection. I am sorry that anyone has to go through this type of situation, but there are ways to avoid STD’s…Condoms, condoms, and more condoms!
Now that you know that he has given you an STD, are you going to stay? Your answer should be ‘No.’ Anyone that can put your health in jeopardy isn’t for you. Learn from your mistakes and take this situation as a lesson. This time it was a curable disease, next time it could be something that you cannot get rid of.
It’s 2018 and you have to get it together. Be smarter!
