I’ve got a newfound respect for the state of California. First Trump cancels his trip, now LA’s latest high-speed chase has gone viral.
High speed chases are nothing new to Los Angeles, but this was especially satisfying considering that the individuals being chased made a total mockery of LAPD — and lived to tell about it.Â
The driver was wanted for a burglary and led police on a chase spanning nearly two hours. In their dark colored Ford Mustang, with the top down, the driver did donuts on the rainy 101 Freeway.Â
The chase went from the San Gabriel Valley to South Los Angeles.  The Mustang, which was occupied by the driver and a passenger, squeezed by traffic going northbound on the 101 Freeway, exiting at Hollywood Boulevard, then heading into the Hollywood Hills where they caught a flat tire from a police spike.Â
The chase didn’t stop there, however.Â
The Mustang made its way from the Hollywood Hills back into Hollywood, then on to the 101 Freeway going southbound, where it was blocked in by a TMZ tour bus briefly. The Mustang continued southbound, finally coming to a stop near 49th Street and Central Avenue. The driver and passenger hopped out of the car where they were cheerfully greeted by bystanders. They even posed for selfies.Â
Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested.
I guess if you’re going to go out, this is the way to do it!Â
