Dr. Dre has finally agreed to pay his estranged wife Nicole Young $2 million in temporary spousal support in their ongoing divorce.
The former couple agreed to a one-time payment of $2 million in temporary support. However, the super-producer will not be coughing up the $5 million that Young requested for her lawyer fees. Until their next divorce hearing in April, the 55-year-old will not be responsible for any further spousal support. Up until now, he has been paying $293,306 monthly in temporary aid to Young, whom he was married to for 24 years.
The producer will also continue covering Young’s Malibu living expenses and the expenses for her mother’s Pacific Palisades home over the next few months. Young will be required to pay for her own security fees from her soon-to-be ex-husband from the $2 million lump sum.
Dre signed the agreement from his bed at Cedars Sinai Hospital, where he continues to recover from a brain aneurysm that he suffered on Monday.
