Dr. Dre’s estranged wife, Nicole Young, filed for divorce back in June, and now, three months later, she’s asking for nearly two million a month in temporary spousal support.
When you’re married to a billionaire, the possibilities are endless, and apparently, so are the requests.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, Young, 50, is asking for $1,936,399 in monthly temporary spousal support. She is also asking for $5 million in legal fees for the divorce.
Young pulled the plug on the marriage back in June after 24 years of marriage. Dre filed a response, revealing the couple’s prenuptial agreement. But now, according to PEOPLE, Young is disputing the validity of the agreement, claiming she was forced to sign it, and Dre eventually ripped it up, which deemed it invalid after their marriage.
In her request to determine the agreement’s validity, she claimed Dre’s “net worth is estimated to be in the ballpark of $1 billion,” most of which, she claimed, he earned during their marriage.
“Before our wedding date, Andre demanded that I sign a premarital agreement that 16 of his lawyers drafted,” Young said in a declaration. “Andre, at the time, was a well-known producer and rapper in the music industry, but he had not reached anywhere near the pinnacle of his music entertainment, business career that he achieved during our marriage. He told me that I must sign a premarital agreement, or he would not marry me.”
“I was extremely reluctant, resistant and afraid to sign the agreement and felt backed into a corner,” Young said in the docs, adding that she was “left with no option” but to “unwillingly” sign the prenuptial agreement shortly before their 1996 wedding, citing “extraordinary pressure and intimidation by Andre.”
But, about two to three years into their marriage, Young said that the music mogul “acknowledged to me that he felt ashamed he had pressured me into signing a premarital agreement and he tore up multiple copies of the agreement in front of me.”
“Since the day he tore up the agreements, we both understood that there was no premarital agreement and that it was null and void,” she said in the declaration.
Long story short, Young says she was with him shooting in the gym.
