Dr. Love: Florida Teen Arrested For Posing As A Doctor

A Florida teen has been arrested after posing as a doctor in West Palm Beach. 18-year Malachi Love-Robinson, who went by Dr. Love, allegedly opened up his own practice, New Birth New Life Medical Center & Urgent Care, and even created a website for it. 

Local authorities became suspicious after a complaint was made, and decided to follow up. An undercover investigator posed as a patient at the care center and says that the teen performed a physical examination on her and even offered medical advice. 

This incident is reportedly not the first of its kind for Love-Robinson. He was allegedly reportedly posed as a gynecologist at St. Mary’s medical center in West Palm Beach in January of 2015. Love-Robinson was ordered to cease, but authorities determined that no crime had been committed as he was only found walking around in a lab coat and stethoscope. 

Again in December, the teen was caught in a similar situation when he was allegedly caught attempting to practice at a Boynton Beach facility. 

During a press conference Wednesday night, Love-Robinson reportedly declined to answer questions but issued the following statement: “I am deeply saddened and a little disrespected by some of the things that have come forth,” he said. “My attorneys are working hard, they’re working around the clock to make sure this issue gets resolved in the best way possible.”
