On Friday, Drake released his two-track EP ‘Scary Hours’, in an attempt to hold fans over for the time being. The release sent fans into a frenzy, as many peeped an alleged Joe Budden diss and a Jennifer Lopez-Rihanna name drop.
While fans expressed their excitement over the new music, an electronic producer took to Instagram to express his frustration over the new EP. In the post, producer Rabit called out Drake for jacking his artwork designed by artist, Colin Fletcher.
“Today I wake up to see OVO has redone one of my 2015 tour posters designed by @collindfletcher for Drake’s new single,” Rabit wrote on Instagram underneath a photo of both his 2015 Communion Tour poster and Drake’s ‘Scary Hours’ artwork.

“This is a story that too many artists, musicians, and designers identify with,” Fletcher said in a statement to Pitchfork of the alleged stolen artwork. “Hopefully this results in a large conversation about popular culture’s relationship with underground artists.”

In turn, sources close to the situation told Billboard that OVO is not to blame for the artwork.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“OVO didn’t source this artwork,” the source said. “They were presented it — it’s common to be presented with a whole pile of work to choose from that is referenced off older art.”
