Actor Drake Bell has pleaded guilty to multiple charges relating to an inappropriate chat with a 15-year-old girl.
The actor, most widely known for playing Drake Parker on the popular Nickelodeon series “Drake & Josh,” was detained and charged with attempted endangering children and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles earlier this month in Cleveland, Ohio.
The charges arose from a December 1st, 2017 incident that involved Bell engaging in a sexual chat with a 15-year-old girl.
The 34-year-old initially pleaded not guilty. However, he has since agreed to a plea deal and admitted guilt to both charges during Wednesday’s virtual court appearance.
Bell faces six to 18 months in prison and/or a fine of up to $5,000 for the attempted endangering children charge. According to the judge, the second charge can result in six months of jail time and/or a fine of up to $1,000. If he receives time behind bars, he also faces supervised release for up to three years.
Bell will receive his sentence on July 12th. The victim in the case will have an opportunity to read a statement if she chooses.
