Drake and Future have dodged a major bullet in the $25 million rape lawsuit linked to the duo’s 2016 Summer Sixteen tour stop in Tennessee. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Back in August of 2017, one year after the incident, a woman filed a lawsuit against the duo and the arena for hiring her rapist, Leavy Johnson. In the suit, the woman said all parties should have known that Johnson’s employment had the potential to “pose an unreasonable risk to others,” as he had outstanding warrants for assault at the time of the attack.

But now, almost two years after the incident, Johnson has been arrested and charged with rape and the rap duo has been let off the hook in the lawsuit.

According to the @blast, both Drake and Future, whose real names are Aubrey Drake Graham and Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, respectively, were dismissed from the suit without prejudice.

However, despite the rappers’ dismissal, the arena, the touring companies and the company that provided the security, in which Johnson reportedly worked, still remain in the suit, as the case is still ongoing.
