Drake is paying tribute to Virgil Abloh with new body ink.
In wake of the sudden passing of the Off-White founder and head of Louis Vuitton menswear, Drake tattooed the famous image of the designer darting a paper plane down an empty runway at his first show for the LV fashion house. The paper plane symbol has been seen in much of Louis Vuitton’s recent tributes to Abloh following his passing.
Tattoo artist Joaquin Ganga took to Instagram Wednesday to show off the tribute ink he did for Drake.
Drizzy and Virgil had been friends for some time, with the rapper often shouting him out in his music. Virgil also famously designed Drake’s $185 Million Patek watch and played a role in designing the Certified Lover Boy’s $200 million jet.
Abloh passed away on November 28Â after a private battle with cancer. He was 41.
