Drake Has Requested To Push Back Assault Trial Because of His Busy Schedule

According to The Blast, Drake has asked the court to push back his assault trial date because of his hectic schedule, as he claims he will be too busy in the upcoming months.

Drake was originally scheduled to head to trial on July 21st, 2020, but his request to have the trial delayed was due to his “professional commitments” around the world. The earliest he claims to be available is February 2021. His co-defendant Odell Beckham Jr. also asked to have the trial date pushed back to Mid-February 2021 because he will be occupied with “professional commitments” that is tied to his football season this summer.

Odell Beckham Jr., Drake, and Younes Bendjima are listed together in a lawsuit filed by Bennett Sipes. The three have been accused of allegedly assaulted him at Delilah Nightclub in March 2018. Bennett Sipes claims the three men and their clique went on to “push, shove, kick, and repeatedly punch him in the face and body.”

Both Drake, and Odell Beckham Jr. have denied the claims.
