Drake has pledged $1 million to the Lebron James I Promise elementary school in Akron, Ohio.
Last week, Drizzy announced the kind gesture during a lavish dinner at the Harbour 60 restaurant in Toronto. James was present when the “Unforgettable” rapper revealed in a speech that he was blessing the school. Partnering with crypto gambling company Stake to give the hefty donation, Drake says he will be personally delivering the money to the students.
The Toronto rap star and James also invited a special guest, a promising student-athlete from his hometown named Micheal and his mother, to the dinner. Together, the friends gifted them $100,000 to make “this journey just a little bit easier.”
Drake is no stranger to giving away money for good causes. He recently gifted a fan $20,000 while vacationing in Turks and Caicos. His famous 2018 “God’s Plan” also saw the rapper handing out money to several people.
