After rumors swirled on the internet in summer 2022 of Drake being arrested in Sweden, a rep squashed the rumors immediately. Now it looks like Drake is confirming his arrest.
What better way to start a new year than the air out some grievances that took over from the previous year?
On New Year’s Eve, Drake took to Instagram with a carousel of his 2022 highlights that included a picture with dear friend 21 Savage and a video of him getting arrested.
He captioned the post, “The fund are helpful, the lyrics are truthful, the suspects are usual, the opps are delusional, the finish line is beautiful, and the disrespect is mutual. See you in 23. ”
On July 14, “Free Drake” began trending on Twitter, which was following reports that the rapper had been arrested in Sweeden. Though a rep denied the allegations, the Her Loss rapper posted a series of photos, including a memo from the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Sweden’s National Police Board. The note included a list for court and why he was arrested.
Well, Happy New Year, Drake!
