Drake isn’t going down without a fight! In a recent twist of events in Drake’s home intrusion, the rapper is asking a judge to dismiss his recent lawsuit.
In 2017, a woman broke into the “Champagne Papi’s” home and is now filing a defamation lawsuit claiming Drake invaded her privacy by putting where she lives on Instagram and in music. However, Drake claims he doesn’t know the woman in court filings and never invaded her privacy.
Mesha Collins is suing the Certified Lover Boy for invading her privacy and using her name and likeness in “defamatory manners.”
After she broke into Drizzy’s home, she ate his refreshments then locked herself in a room at his Californian estate. Drake never pressed charges against the woman because he felt she was going through personal matters. But now, she wants him to pay in her a recently filed $4 billion defamation lawsuit.
Drake is acknowledging the pending lawsuit and wants to maintain his innocence. He says, “I understand that Plaintiff Mesha Collins (‘Plaintiff’) filed a lawsuit against me in August 2021. When this lawsuit was filed and served on me, I learned that Plaintiff is the same person who broke into my house in Los Angeles in April 2017…I do not know Plaintiff. I have never met her and have never communicated with her.”
Drake continues, “I did not even know of Plaintiff until this lawsuit was filed and served. Indeed, I was unaware of Plaintiff’s identity, name or where she alleges she lives until the filing and service of this lawsuit.”
His lawyer calls the lawsuit “frivolous.”
This isn’t the only lawsuit pending against the rapper. In recent turmoil of the tragic Astroworld concert deaths, he is facing a $2 billion lawsuit. Travis Scott is also in the midst of several lawsuits due to the deaths at Astroworld. He denied responsibility.
