Drake is clearing the air about his rap lyrics from an old unreleased song that referred to Kylie Jenner as a “side piece.”⠀⠀⠀⠀
Last night, Drake’s The Night Owl Sound Instagram account dropped a snippet of an unreleased track the Toronto native has with #Future. In it, Drake raps, “Yeah, I’m a hater to society / Real sh*t, Kylie Jenner that’s a side piece / Yeah, I got 20 motherf**kin’ Kylies.” He carried on, mentioning Jenner’s sister #KendallJenner and model #GigiHadid.
“Yeah, I got 20 damn Kendalls / Young slim baddies and they in Vogue / Yeah, I got 20 f**kin’ Gigis,” the lyrics read.
According to Entertainment Tonight, this blew fans of Jenner and her ex #TravisScott away in awe. While Drake has been close with the Kardashian/Jenner family and Scott for years, many people were thrown off by the lyrics. But Drake took to his Instagram to shed some light on the situation. The 33-year-old said the song was never supposed to be played.
“A song that mark ran last night on night owl sound live set shouldn’t have been played,” he wrote. “It’s a song that leaked 3 years ago and got scrapped shortly after. He was just going too deep in the drake/future catalogue. Last thing I’d want to do is wake up having any friends of mine feeling disrespected, so I just had to say that to start the day.”
The 22-year-old socialite previously had to shut down dating rumors about her and Drake after people speculated that they were an item following her breakup from Scott, 28.
