Another star in the spotlight has tested positive for COVID. This time, it’s the Champagne Papi.
Drake revealed on Instagram Monday that he now has to postpone the Young Money Reunion after catching covid-19. The initial performance was scheduled for tonight and was set to feature Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Wayne. So, testing positive for the virus could not have come at the worst time.
Drake, 35, posted a lengthy message on his story describing how “devastated” he was.
“I am truly devastated to say that I tested positive for Covid, and the Young Money reunion show scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled to the SOONEST date possible. I will keep the city posted and share the new date whenever we have it locked.”
He continued, “Until then, I hope everyone stays safe and healthy, and I love you all […] I am so sorry for letting you down on our weekend together, and the moment I test negative, I will give you everything I got on stage (except the Covid).”
Drake isn’t the only person quarantining. President Biden tested positive for COVID for a second time.
The October’s Very Own (OVO) festival was highly anticipated as the trio has been killing the game since “Bedrock” and so many songs. Their recent project, “Seeing Green,” gave fans a blast in the past.
The new date for the Young Money reunion has yet to be announced.
