Drake Officially Ties Michael Jackson For Most No. 1s On The Billboard 100

Drake has officially tied the King of Pop as the male solo artist with the most No. 1 songs in Billboard Hot 100 History.

Despite his latest album, “For All The Dogs,” being the topic of immense debate, the project has produced several hits, one of which being his widely adored track “First Person Shooter,” alongside J. Cole. The record has now topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming Drake’s 13th single to achieve this feat. As a result, only he and Michael Jackson have this many No. 1s on the chart in its 65-year history.

In addition to Drake’s Hot 100 achievement, “For All The Dogs” as a whole also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Drake’s eighth studio album has been mired in controversy. He was accused of dissing Rihanna on the “Fear of Heights” and her partner, A$AP Rocky, on “Another Late Night.” The album also sparked a new beef with rapper-turned-podcast Joe Budden, who felt that the album sounded too youthful. Drake and his posse, including Birdman and his father Dennis, responded to the critics. With so much drama surrounding this rollout, Drake has still once again come out on top.

With 13 Hot 100 No. 1s under his belt, fans should not expect to see such achievements from Drake after this year. The Toronto star has revealed that he is stepping away from music for a while to focus on his health. He recently told supporters that he has been plagued with severe stomach issues for years that now require his undivided attention.

With so many career highs, a break for the OVO founder is overdue.
