It appears that Drake and DeMar DeRozan’s relationship has reached a level of no return.

At a recent show on his Anita Max Wynn tour in Sydney, Drake took the opportunity to toss DeRozan’s jersey on the ground after someone in the audience threw it to him during the performance of “Rich Flex.” The move made it clear that the two weren’t on good terms anymore.
Their bond goes way back over 16 years, starting when DeRozan joined the Toronto Raptors and Drake was rising to fame with “So Far Gone.” Their friendship peaked in 2016 when they appeared together on the cover of SLAM magazine with Kyle Lowry under the title “6 GODS.” In the magazine, DeRozan and Lowry spoke highly of Drizzy, with DeRozan revealing they were close friends who spent summers together in Los Angeles.
The Grammy Award winner expressed his loyalty to DeRozan even after his trade, saying he’d always support him. The feeling was once mutual.
“No matter what, when it comes to him, he’ll forever have a friend in me,” DeRozan later said on “Club Shay Shay” in 2021. However, the relationship soured when DeRozan was seen at Kendrick Lamar’s “The Pop Out” concert, dancing to the diss track “Not Like Us.”
He later appeared in the video for the song, and though DeRozan defended his friendship with Lamar, Drake began to express his displeasure.
The tension escalated during a Raptors game when Drake called DeRozan a “goof” and a “p*ssy.” DeRozan responded nonchalantly, telling the rapper he’d have a long climb to take down a DeRozan banner.
