Drakeo the Ruler was arrested Sunday in Los Angeles after his Uber was pulled over for tinted windows.
Drakeo, real name Darrell Caldwell, detailed the incident in a now-deleted Instagram Live video. The footage showed the rapper exiting the car at the demand of Los Angeles Police Department officers. You can hear officers asking him repeatedly to get out of the vehicle while he kept asking what was going on.
“What the f*ck is going on, bro?” he asked the officers.
At one point, an officer told Drakeo that his child would be moved from the car. The kid was not shown at any point in the video.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reports that Drakeo was arrested around noon on Sunday and is facing a felony gun charge. He posted his $35,000 bond and was released only a couple of hours after being booked. He is due back in court on December 23.
The rapper was most recently released from prison in November after spending three years behind bars. He agreed to a plea deal for shooting from a motor vehicle and criminal gang conspiracy. The charges stemmed from a 2016 murder, for which the rapper was acquitted.
