Drake’s “Kiki” Has Been Found! Oakland Rapper K’yanna Barber Speaks On Being The Inspiration Behind The Hit “In My Feelings” On Power 106

Will The Real “Kiki” Please Stand Up!? First, it was Keshia Chante, then it was Kim K. Has the real “Kiki” finally been identified? Well according to Oakland rapper/dancer K’yanna Barber, she is indeed the real Kiki behind the Drake smash “In My Feelings”. She sat down with Power106 FM to discuss her newfound fame after the shout-out of a lifetime.

Barber confirmed in her interview that she is the woman Drake is referencing in his song and he used both her nickname “Kiki” and her initials “KB” in different lines. She says she met Drake through another #Oakland rapper, Kamaiyah, who she used to dance for before she began her own rap career. She says her and Drake have been acquainted for 2-3 years.

She told DJFelliFel, “I was kind of surprised by it myself when I heard it. I was sitting in the living room with my son, my brother, my mom. We was just listening to the album like everybody else. You know, it’s Drake. He dropped new music. You listen to it.” She said there’s “a lot of little Kikis running around in everybody hood” so she was able to play off the mention at first until the hook came back around and Drake said her actual initials. “When we heard KB that’s when my mom started going crazy because that’s my actual initials.”

Since the song dropped, she‘s been spotted out clubbing with Drake in L.A. When Felli asked if Drake got his answer to the infamous question, Barber stated, “I feel like he knows the answer.”
