Drake’s alleged stalker still wants her day in court as she continues to demand that her hefty $4 billion lawsuit be heard, despite a judge already dismissing the case.
Mesha Collins says that she could not fight her case because she was in jail, Radar reported.
Court documents state Collins is asking a Los Angeles Superior Court judge to overturn the dismissal that was filed in her $4 billion suit against the star.
Collins sued the God’s Plan rapper claiming he invaded her privacy. The 29-year-old told the judge that Drake had used her name in “defamatory matters” in his songs and social media.
She accused Drake of revealing where she lived and that it caused her harm. Collins does have a past with Drake. In 2017, she was arrested for trespassing at his LA mansion back, and when police arrived at the scene, they found her locked in one of his rooms.
She was arrested for trespassing and released a couple of hours after. The rapper didn’t press charges because he believed she had personal issues.
But the Canadian rapper’s empathy came back to bite him years later when Collins had him served with legal docs. Drake insisted in a declaration he had no idea who Collins was and was not made aware of her identity until 2020.
“In April 2017, somebody broke into my Los Angeles home when I was not there. At the time of that incident, I was not told any details about the trespasser, including her name,” he wrote. “I do not know Plaintiff. I have never met her and have never communicated with her. I did not even know of Plaintiff until this lawsuit was filed and served. Indeed, I was unaware of Plaintiff’s identity, name, or where she alleges she lives until the filing and service of this lawsuit.”
In December, a judge dismissed all claims because Collins was a no-show in court. Now, she wants her case to be reopened.
She learned about the dismissal on December 21, the day after she was released from the Los Angeles County Jail. Following a “mental rehabilitation institute,” she was incarcerated.
The judge has yet to rule on her motion.
