Last night, NBA Twitter was in a frenzy when Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green channeled his inner LeBron James. With less than 40 seconds left in the game and the Warriors up six against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Green seized the opportunity to show up his now-rival, Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert.
Gobert, a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, has often been criticized for his selective high-level defense and struggles on the perimeter. Green sized him up as his teammates cleared out, blew past him, and delivered a powerful dunk to extend the Warriors’ lead to eight.
He celebrated with a nod to his favorite teammate, Steph Curry, using a variation of Curry’s signature “go to sleep” celebration—a moment that NBA fans were quick to notice and discuss.
The emphatic slam had fans buzzing as the four-time champion turned back the clock with a vintage highlight. Green finished the game with six points, six rebounds, seven assists, and one block. The Warriors, aiming to get back on track after losing five straight, now hit the road for a three-game trip, starting with the first-place Houston Rockets in the Western Conference.

DRAYMOND VS. GOBERT: Draymond Green really got an iso on Rudy Gobert, danced between his legs like prime Michael Jordan, drove past him (with the help of a screen) & dunked to seal a win… then he hit the most violent “night night” you’ll ever see 😂💀
