Draymond Green says he’s “not sure” if he can be friends with Jordan Poole again, but they will be able to get along and compete for a championship.
On Thursday, Green made it clear to the media that he is prepared to put last week’s practice altercation behind him and concentrate on the season.
During his time away from the team, Green said that he spent time with his children and had “long days” dealing with the aftermath of last week’s altercation.
As far as mending the friendship, Green said the ball is in Poole’s court.
“I’m not sure,” Green added. “As I said before, that’s not up to me. Nor do I think there’s much relevance.”“Quite frankly, we both know how to play basketball, and that is the most important for us. We’re paid to do a job, and we’re gonna come and do that job to the best of our ability. We wanna continue to win, so we gonna do what we have to do to win.”Last week, TMZ obtained footage of Green and Poole’s altercation during the Warrior’s practice.
It was recently reported that the NBA decided that Green would be fined and not suspended for throwing the first punch.
