The Houston Rockets stormed back from a 3-1 deficit against the Golden State Warriors to force a Game 7 matchup at the Toyota Center over the weekend. On Sunday, the young team fell 103-89 in a game where they struggled to find quality scoring. Rockets guard Dillon Brooks finished with 8 points, shooting 33% from the field and missing all three of his attempts from beyond the arc.

After the game, Brooks walked off the court, EJ and TJ out, without shaking the Warriors players’ hands following the tough seven-game series. Forward Draymond Green took exception to that and let it be known in the latest episode of his podcast.
“When I say you see what guys are made of, he ran off the court, didn’t shake anybody up, and you admitted you were trying to hurt Steph’s hand,” Green told co-host Baron Davis on The Draymond Green Show. “Which is fine by me, bro, like we get it, when you hoop. So if you’re going to be on that type of time, talking, being Mr. Bad Wolf, don’t lose and not face the music.”
A true statement about sportsmanship and life, some people may say Green is the wrong messenger, but the message is valid. You have to stand behind a loss the same way you stand behind wins. Teammate Tari Eason followed Brooks in not shaking hands, and Green mentioned that Eason spoke to him after both teams were leaving the arena, but he expects that kind of behavior from the Canadian-born guard.
“That’s who Dillon Brooks is, and we understand that. You a sucker, man. But Tari Eason, he not… when guys lose respect for you in this league, it’s going to catch you in the end. Dillon Brooks couldn’t come through this series in large part because nobody on the court respects you.”
