During a recent interview on “The Big Homies House” podcast, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star revealed that while most people believe she began singing out of nowhere, music has been a passion she’s pursued her entire life. In fact, she was once signed to Slip-N-Slide Records, a label founded by Ted Lucas and made popular by Trick, one of its earliest artists.
“I was signed to Slip-N-Slide. I got songs with Trina,” she shared.
“I was like their Ashanti… It was Trick Daddy, Ross, like Plies, and it was like Drew Sidora on the R&B side,” she explained.
The reality star outlined her resume, including a record deal with Def Jam and being featured on the “Step Up” soundtrack. However, her records never took off until now. Much of her revitalized music career is being documented on “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” which has caused tension with castmate Porsha Williams. Williams has slammed Sidora for working with her baby daddy, Dennis McKinley, behind her back.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Sidora also revealed that she would soon be dropping a diss track. When host Kodaq asked if it was about Williams, Sidora played coy, though she hinted that the music video for the single would reveal her true target.
