Taylor Swift is the latest celebrity to have a fan pull a crazy stunt to meet her. A Virginia man was arrested after allegedly crashing into an NYC building with hopes of getting into her home.
Authorities say 31-year-old Morgan Mank was charged with driving while intoxicated and ability impaired on Thursday. Around 3:00 a.m., NYPD responded to a call about a man driving the wrong way down the street. Upon arrival, police say eyewitnesses told them the man was driving and hit a nearby building. The man exited the vehicle, walked up to the building, and tried to force his way inside.
According to TMZ, Mank tried to rip the intercom off the wall while saying he wasn’t leaving until he spoke with Swift.
Mank reportedly posted a bottle of Stolichnaya vodka just shortly after 1 a.m on his Instagram story. NYPD placed the man into custody and took him to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. Mank will potentially be facing DWI and criminal mischief charges. There is no word of Swift being present at home during the incident.
