Dwight Howard’s Wife Files for Divorce Just Six Months After Wedding

Another celebrity marriage bites the dust—this time, it’s former NBA superstar Dwight Howard and rapper-turned-reality-star Amber Rose Howard, better known as Amy Luciani. Just six months after saying “I do,” Amber has officially filed for divorce.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ Sports, the divorce paperwork was submitted on July 1 at a courthouse in Georgia. In the filing, Amber declared that the marriage is “irretrievably broken.”

Amber, who made her name in the music and reality TV worlds, is also asking the court to divide marital assets fairly and is requesting alimony. The couple had only gone public with their relationship late last year, announcing their engagement on Instagram in December with a sweet caption from Amber: “Met you and ain’t stop smiling since Superman.” That post has since been deleted.
They officially tied the knot on January 11, but by summer, things had already fallen apart.

While Dwight Howard hasn’t publicly commented on the split, this is the latest in a string of high-profile headlines for the former Lakers star, who’s been more known for off-court drama than basketball highlights in recent years.
