Days ago, we were hit with a new couple alert after reality star Amy Luciani and former NBA star Dwight Howard revealed their relationship via social media. Not only did the couple share that they were together, they also claimed that they were engaged.

While Luciani and Howard have been basking in their love, not everyone is sharing that same joy. Howard’s ex-girlfriend Royce Reed took to Instagram in recent days to expose her “truths” surrounding her time spent with Howard. She accused him of having abusive behavior during their relationship and even claimed that he used legal tactics to silence her.
In addition to Reed’s claims, social media users criticized Howard and Luciani’s engagement, examining the athlete’s past amid old claims regarding his sexuality. But, in a now-viral video, Howard and Luciani addressed their circumstances. The clip begins with Howard reading a fan’s comment aloud, which questioned if Luciani was aware of her fiance’s history. Finding humor in the statement, Howard was interrupted by Luciani who asked, “But God knows what you’ve done in your past,” with Howard adding, “That’s why this person who wrote that comment will never get blessed like they supposed to.”
Additionally, Howard stressed that his life before Luciani holds no weight and is irrelevant in his current relationship with the “Love & Hip-Hop” star.
“Everybody in the world got a past. When you get into a relationship with somebody, you don’t bring the past into the relationship. The past is the past for a reason,” he further expounded.
Howard has had a rocky several years, which includes accusations of engaging in same-sex relations. The 39-year-old was even sued by a male for sexual assault, though the case was dropped. No matter what, Luciani isn’t worried about these incidents.
“Whatever happened to me in 2024, it ain’t coming with me in 2025. Whatever happened in 2023, it didn’t come with me in 2024. Move along. Why would I keep something with me from over a decade ago? I’m not carrying that weight with me. I’m letting it go,” he concluded.
