NBA Superstar, Dwyane Wade and rapper ChanceTheRapper will be co-producing a new basketball documentary, ‘Shot in the Dark.’
Being two Chicago natives themselves, it’s no surprise that the film surrounds itself around a high school basketball team in Chicago.
‘Shot in the Dark’ will follow the lives of Chicago’s Orr Academy basketball team as the young men face the odds that are against them, being from an urban community in the city.

#Billboard reports that the film will also focus on the life of one of the team’s star players, Tyquone Greer, who was shot in the leg at a local party just a week following a winning 3-point shot at one of his games.

“Shot in the Dark is an authentic and realistic look at high school sports in Chicago and what it means for our youth,” said Chance in a press release. “It’s not really a game for some of us.”

According to WGNTV, Chance’s youth empowerment charity, #SocialWorks will host an invite-only early screening for the film the Monday before its premiere on February 24th.
