Philadelphia Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson didn’t hold back after his team’s 40-22 Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs, taking a shot at Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift.
On Monday morning, Gardner-Johnson appeared to suggest that Kelce “fumbled” his ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole, implying that his past relationship might have been a better choice.
“Should’ve stayed w that thick s***,” he wrote on his Instagram Story, alongside an image of himself and Kelce during the game.
Hours later, he seemingly doubled down on the shade by reposting a bikini photo of Nicole, only to delete the post soon after.
Kelce dated Kayla Nicole, a sports reporter and influencer, on and off for five years before they split for good in May 2022. He later began dating Taylor Swift around July 2023, and the two have been together ever since.
Both women were in attendance at the Super Bowl, with Swift cheering for the Chiefs from a suite alongside Kelce’s family and friends, while Nicole sat elsewhere supporting the Eagles.
