A fan crept into Emmanual Acho of the Philadelphia Eagles’ DM’s yesterday and now she’s got a date to the prom. Who says you can’t find love on social media?
Hannah, the high schooler who entered into Acho’s DMs, proposed that if she was able to get 2,000 retweets on Twitter, would he be kind enough to take her to prom. Acho upped the ante, saying his going rate ins 10,000 retweets and she has a deal. He even gave her until he returned on January 15th to make it happen. Unfortunately for him, she didn’t need that long. By yesterday afternoon Hannah had already reached 13,000 retweets and climbing and she still had a whole 7 days left.
Shocked Acho knew it was time to make good on his wager. Jokingly he tweeted, “Impressive. Never again will I open up an Instagram DM…. So, where do you buy a corsage?!”
We’ll be awaiting those prom pics, sir!
