Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence Are Now In-Laws After Their Kids Secretly Got Married

Eric Murphy and Jasmin Lawrence have officially tied the knot, bringing two comedy legends together as in-laws.

Eddie Murphy broke the news during his recent sit-down on The Jennifer Hudson Show, revealing that his son and Martin Lawrence’s daughter got hitched earlier this month.

“They skipped the big wedding and kept it simple,” Murphy said. The couple exchanged vows in a private church ceremony with just a preacher present.

While fans might’ve expected an over-the-top celebration, the newlyweds wanted something intimate. Eddie admitted everyone had been gearing up for a larger event, but the couple went in a different direction. “Just the two of them,” he said. “Quiet and sweet.”

Eddie confirmed he and Martin are now officially related. “We’re in-laws,” he said with a laugh, adding a playful jab that Lawrence lucked out by not having to foot a huge wedding bill.

Although they skipped a big ceremony, Eddie hinted that a celebration might still be on the horizon. “We’ll probably throw a big party,” he teased.

Eric and Jasmin had been dating for a few years before announcing their engagement in late 2023.
