Elon Musk will be the focus of an upcoming project by the production and distribution company, A24. Musk’s life will serve as a basis for a biopic that is reportedly already in development.
The company, which is known for it’s “unique” ways of storytelling will base the film on the foundation of Walter Isaacson’s 670-page authorized biography Elon Musk, released in September, Rolling Stone reported.
A24 has tapped Darren Aronofsky to direct the film. Aronofsky has previously directed dramatic and psychological movies, including last year’s The Whale, 2014’s Noah and 2010’s Black Swan, which followed Requiem for a Dream and The Fountain.
Isaacson’s biography of Musk, the CEO of Telsa and world billionaire was crafted from research and first-hand documentation collected over the span of two years. During that time, Isaacson shadowed Musk during business meetings and SpaceX/Tesla factory visits.
The New Yorker released a review statement, saying: “Isaacson’s new biography depicts a man who wields more power than almost any other person on the planet but seems estranged from humanity itself.”
In 2011, Isaacson released an authorized biography of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs that went into become a biopic written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by Danny Boyle. The film, was released in October 2015.
