Elon Musk was booed during a Dave Chappelle show in San Francisco on Sunday after the comedian brought him on stage as a special guest.
Some fans applauded the Tesla CEO, while Dave pointed out that others didn’t seem thrilled to see him.
In an attempt to drown out the noise, Dave joked about how much he liked Elon, despite him being the Internet’s biggest enemy.
Taking it in stride, Elon sarcastically asked Dave if he was expecting this, to which Chappelle replied, “It sounds like some of the people you fired are in the audience.”
The entire time he stood there, Dave told jokes to lighten the mood.
Several people in the audience assumed Elon would have more to say as he does on Twitter. In the end, Dave informed the audience that there were more effective ways to express their frustrations towards the CEO.
