Elon Musk found himself in an uncomfortable spotlight during a White House press event on Friday, when a reporter attempted to confront him with serious allegations from a newly published New York Times article. But instead of answering, the Tesla CEO chose to deflect, right in front of Donald Trump.

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy tried to question Musk about a bombshell report that claims the billionaire’s drug use, specifically ketamine, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms, was far more extensive than previously thought.
Before Doocy could even finish his question, Musk interrupted, asking whether the report came from The New York Times.
“Is this The New York Times?” Musk shot back dismissively. “Is that the same publication that got a Pulitzer Prize for false reporting on Russia-gate?” he continued, referencing years-old controversies involving Trump’s presidential campaign and Russia.
He then added, “I think the judge just ruled against The New York Times for their lies about the Russia-gate hoax, and that they might have to give back that prize. Let’s move on.”
Trump, sitting silently next to him, offered no comment.
For now, Musk seems to be brushing it all off. But this story isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
