Do you know anyone in need of a job? Are you looking for a new career path? Well, Elon Musk is now hiring for a Clinical Trial Director for his neurotechnology company, Neuralink.
It hasn’t been any word of the Telsa founder confirming if the testing on humans is happening. However, many came to that conclusion since Elon is hiring a Clinical Trial Director. The job description says, “As the Clinical Trial Director, you’ll work closely with some of the most innovative doctors and top engineers. As well as working with Neuralink’s first Clinical Trial participants!”
Neuralink’s job listing can be seen a step closer to accomplishing their “brain-computer interface” microchip. The implanted chip will allow people to transmit and receive information with their brains. For example, paralyzed people could get things moving telepathically.
Even though the paralyzed person cannot control things without moving their limbs, the chip simulates the sense of touch.
Elon first announced his plans to implant microchips inside human brains in 2019. Musk said that the neurotechnology company will be starting clinical trials soon. However, so far, the company has tested the chip out on a monkey in April 2021. The study showed the monkey playing ping pong on a joystick. To the regular eye, it seems as though the monkey is playing with his hands. But in reality, he’s controlling everything with his mind.
