Elon Musk Warns of X Shutdown If Kamala Harris Wins Presidency

Elon Musk, the CEO of X (formerly known as Twitter), has raised eyebrows with his assertion that the platform will cease operations should Vice President Kamala Harris win the presidency in this week’s election.

This bold statement, which he has made in recent days on other platforms, was reiterated on “The Joe Rogan Podcast.” Musk believes that the nonprofit Center for Countering Digital Hate motivated advertisers to turn away from X when he first took over.

“The Center for Countering Digital Hate is a total scam organization, you know because they’re like the Ministry of Truth type of thing in Orwell. You know, they’re a censorship organization. And they pushed the advertisers to boycott,” he explained. “If Kamala wins, we’ll see that boycott gets stronger. And they’ll friggin shut down. There’s no way that the sort of Kamala public regime would allow X to exist.”

As the election cycle wraps up, Musk’s statement could resonate with a segment of the population that shares his views on government regulation. However, it also risks alienating users who rely on X as a platform for information and connection.
