Eminem’s popular Mom’s Spaghetti eatery has made its way to New York City to commemorate the 20th anniversary of “8 Mile.”
The concept of Mom’s Spaghetti was birthed from his line in the hit record “Lose Yourself,” which was the lead single from the film’s soundtrack. Em debuted the first pop-up in 2017 before opening a permanent location in his hometown in 2021. Mom’s was met with instant success. Since then, the iconic rapper has taken his Italian eats to a pop-up in Los Angeles, honoring his Super Bowl performance earlier this year. Now, New York City is getting the same treatment.
Bringing Mom’s Spaghetti to the Big Apple is a celebration of Em’s hit 2002 movie, “8 Mile,” which is based on his life as a battle rapper in Detroit before his fame. The film gained massive success and earned the Shady Records lyricist an Oscar nomination.
Fans can pull up to Shopify New York at 131 Greene St. in SoHo until November 20th to try delicious traditional spaghetti or spaghetti and meatballs. Vegan options are also available for plant-based pasta lovers. Reservations are strongly suggested, though not required. However, those who RSVP ahead of their visit are guaranteed entry and access to exclusive merchandise and “8 Mile” experiences.
It is unclear if Em will make an appearance, though it is likely.
