Emmy Audience Laughs At Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner After They Claim Their Family Knows Firsthand About “Real People Just Being Themselves, Telling Their Stories Unfiltered and Unscripted”

On Sunday, Kim Kardashian made an appearance at the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards to present the award for ‘Outstanding Competition Series,’ alongside her sister, Kendall Jenner. However, halfway through their intro, the two became the butt of a joke over the irony of their statements.

“Our family knows firsthand how truly compelling television comes from real people just being themselves,” Kim said, as the crowd chuckled. But, the kicker, was Kendall’s addition, in which she chimed in, saying, “Telling their stories unfiltered and unscripted.”

While some believed the sisters were frustrated with the audiences’ reaction, others experienced secondhand embarrassment, taking to Twitter to highlight the situation.

“There was awkward audience laughter when Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner said their family tells their stories “unfiltered and unscripted” Yikes,” Ryan Schocket wrote.

“The audience laughing at Kim Kardashian talking about real people is a mood,” another user wrote, as Elizabeth Wagmeister added, “Eeek. There was a very loud laugh from the audience when Kim Kardashian was presenting. Laughing at her; not with her. It was uncomfortable (and, in my opinion, uncalled for) in the room.”

“Why did it feel so good to hear Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner get laughed at presenting the Reality/Competition award at the Emmys? Go away, Kardashians. No one with ‘real’ talent respects you,” someone else wrote.

However, a few believed the sisters might have been in on the joke. What do you believe?

  1. They should’ve laughed at them. All they do is get plastic surgery and f#ck black rappers and athletes and also steal black culture.
