A group of investors has reportedly been formed by Entertainment Studios founder Byron Allen to explore acquiring the NFL’s Washington Commanders.
Allen, who would be the NFL’s first majority owner of color, is said to be preparing his second bid in the NFL this year after previously bidding on the Denver Broncos but losing to Robert Walton, the Walmart billionaire.
It is anticipated that a bid for Washington would cost substantially more.
On Wednesday, the Washington franchise owners Daniel and Tanya Snyder hired Bank of America Securities to “consider potential transactions.”
