According to TMZ, Erik Menendez, 49, is in isolation at R.J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego after receiving a package of marijuana. The package was intercepted by prison personnel.
An investigation has been launched and officials want to know whether or not Menendez was involved.
Menendez can be prosecuted if he is connected with the crime.
“Because of the active investigation, no other information can be disclosed,” a spokeswoman with the California Department of Corrections said.
Menendez and his brother Lyle, who are both housed at the same prison, are serving life sentences after killing their parents in 1989.
TMZ can get sued for reporting this.
