Alabama fugitive Casey White and the corrections officer who allegedly helped him escape, Vicky White, have been found after 11 days on the run, according to FOX59 Indianapolis.
Police say following a chase Monday the two were found in an Evansville, Indiana cornfield about five hours’ drive away from the Florence, Alabama prison they disappeared from.
The Lauderdale Co, Alabama Sheriff confirmed Casey was taken into custody, and Vicky was taken to a local hospital after shooting herself.
“I hope she survives this. I don’t know the extent of her injuries. We don’t wish any ill will on Vicky with her health but she has some answers to give us,” The Lauderdale Co, Alabama Sheriff said Monday.
As previously reported, Casey White who was serving 75 years for attempting to kill an ex-girlfriend and killing a dog escaped prison with the help of prison guard Vicky White. She claimed she would be taking him to an appointment at the courthouse. Instead, they ran away together. Authorities say that were involved in a relationship.
